Can I Password protect my site and/or a certain directory?

Yes this can be done through cPanel,

Login to your cPanel
go to the security section,
click on “Password Protect Directories”
click go on the popup
click on the public_html if you want to password protect your entire website, or click on the directory you want to password protect.
check the box that says Password protect this directory
in the text box put a description for the prompt that will come up, example “Test Access Only”
create a username and password in the boxes below and click on Add or modify the authorized user.
You can add multiple users by going through the steps and selecting the same directory and adding a new username and password combo at the bottom of the last step.
