How To install Wordpress

In order to install wordpress on your website follow these easy instructions:

Login to your cpanel account (https://cp1.colosseum.com:2087
Scroll down untill you see the section called "Colosseum Top Apps Installer"
Click on WordPress under the "scripts" subsection
Next click on the blue install button at the top of the page.
Now setup the options for your wordpress installation:
      Choose Protocol: If you have purchased an SSL certificate choose https://www. otherwise choose http://www.
      Choose domain: choose the domain you want to install wordpress on.
      In Directory: for most installations leave this empty, this will make the wordpress site show up on your main domain. If you want the wordpress installation to appear only when a viewer types www.domiain.com/dir then type dir in this field.
      Database Name: Most users can leave this field as is. A random name will be pregenerated, if you want to make the database a specific name then change it here.
      Table Prefix: Again most users can leave this as default
      Site Name: The title of your siteyou can enter any text you want which will show up as the title of the website.
      Site Description: Enter the description for the purpose of this wordpress installation (ie: Website for MyCustomBusiness where you can browse and ejoy)
      Enble Multisite (WPMU): check if you are going to be installing multiple wordpress websites under one account.
      Admin Username: Pick a username for your admin account, there is a pregenerated option. Replace this with a user account you will remember, try not to use commonly used names like admin or administrator.
      Admin Password: A pregenerated password is provided for you, please ensure you choose a strong password to prevent your website from being hacked.
      Admin Email: Put in an email address you want to use to recieve alerts and other wordpress communication for your website

Click Install at the bottom of the page to start the installation. You can also enter an email at the bottom so that the server will email you a log when the installation is complete but the installation doesn't take too long so it usually isn't required as it will complete right infront of you. Once installed log into the installation and update wordpress right away to make sure you have the latest security and bug fixes.
